DS4 Bridge is free, open-source software designed, developed and maintained by engineer948. The source code is publicly available on GitHub.

DS4 Bridge is released under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense and sell copies of the software, provided that the copyright notice and the permission notice are included in all copies or substantial portions of the software.

The DS4 Bridge name and logo identify this project. Please do not use them in a way that suggests a modified version or another product comes from the original author.

2. No affiliation

DS4 Bridge is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Valve Corporation or any other company named on this website or in the software.

3. Trademarks

  • "PlayStation", "DualShock" and "PS4" are trademarks of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.
  • "Xbox" and "Xbox 360" are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation.
  • "Steam" and "Proton" are trademarks of Valve Corporation.
  • All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

You use DS4 Bridge at your own risk. The author is not responsible for any damage to hardware, software or data, or for any loss resulting from its use.

5. Games, DRM & anti-cheat

DS4 Bridge only reads standard input events from your controller and passes them to a virtual controller through the Linux kernel. It does not modify games and does not bypass DRM, copy protection or anti-cheat systems.

Some online games restrict the use of virtual input devices or input remapping. It is your responsibility to check and follow the rules of the games and services you use.

6. Changes to your system

DS4 Bridge runs as your normal user. It never asks for administrator rights and never changes system files by itself. If access to /dev/uinput is missing, it only shows the command you can run yourself. "Start on Login" creates a standard autostart entry in your home folder, which you can turn off at any time.

7. Privacy

The DS4 Bridge application does not collect, store or transmit any personal data and does not connect to the internet. Settings and logs are stored only on your computer.

This website is a static page. It loads the public star and download counts of the project from the GitHub API and the developer's public avatar from GitHub; these requests are subject to GitHub's privacy statement. The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
